Andrew Hall
Owner and Professional Engineer
Andrew leads the Unique Engineering Solutions team, bringing a fresh perspective to what it means to be a design engineering firm. There’s no mistaking where his passions lie, in creating truly unique structures that excel as much in style as they do functionality. Andrew approaches every challenge as an opportunity to create a signature project that inspires others to reach ever higher in what is possible in building design.
Raymond Douglas Hall
Senior Engineer / Special Inspector
Doug has more than 30 years in the design and engineering industry with deep knowledge and experience covering structural, masonry, mechanical, electrical, fire systems, and HVAC. Prior to the launch of Unique Engineering Solutions, he co-founded an engineering firm that oversaw building construction of all types – office buildings, schools, churches, apartment buildings, industrial buildings, bridges, seawalls, commercial signs, and much more.
Doug received an M.S. (Structural Engineering) and B.S. (Engineering Science) from University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Today he is a member of AISC and NFPA, while also serving as an inspiration to his son – Unique Engineering Solutions owner Andrew Hall.
Jeffrey Pruitt
Structural Designer
Jeff has provided structural, civil, and architectural design services since 1991 as a structural design/modeler and received an A.S. degree in Design Drafting Technology from Palm Beach State in 1997. He currently creates structural design drawings using the latest software technology. Jeff finds the type of work here at Unique Engineering Solutions to be very personalized unlike most other firms. Jeff also has an extensive background in military, waterfront, multi-story building, bridge, wastewater, and all types of marine and waterfront projects.
Brandon Chitwood
Chief Solar Designer
Brandon is a Florida State University graduate and is certified as an IEC Building Inspector. He is also SEI trained in solar and oversees the development and design work of Solar PV Permit Packages. He designs and edits plans to give maximum value and production for both solar installation companies and the customers of the PV systems. Brandon also performs field inspections on residential Solar PV systems and structural inspections on various projects completed by Unique Engineering Solutions. His favorite aspect of engineering is the fact that what they do impacts so many people in a positive way. It is not just a job for him, it is about helping his community and the world around him. Brandon owns three goats which he names after his favorite presidents (Fillmore, Pierce, and Harding).
Christopher Simmons
Structural/Architectural Drafter
Chris designs structural solutions and requirements from client specifications, producing two- and three-dimensional drawings. He creates schematics to be printed, viewed, or programmed directly into Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems. He designs projects and outlines all the details necessary for an object to be constructed.
Chris received a drafting degree from Erwin Technical College and is AutoCAD certified.
Nestor Palma
Civil/Structural Drafter
Nestor designs in Civil 3d a civil engineer’s site design to efficiently use building space while staying within the local building codes environmental codes to lessen the impact to the surrounding areas.
Additionally, he drafts structural steel, lumber and concrete designs for commercial and residential projects. Nestor is a PHSC Graduate. He drafts plans using Autodesk’s AutoCAD Civil 3D & Autodesk’s Revit
Jorge Lacayo
Solar designer
Jorge is our newest solar designer. He comes from Clive Daniel Home in Naples, FL where he worked closely with interior designers using AutoCAD to build and redesign condos, town houses, and commercial buildings. Working closely with Brandon Chitwood in the solar department, Jorge ensures that all Solar PV systems designed by our team is code compliant and maximizes the production. Jorge is currently taking courses from SEI to learn more about PV systems and their operations and looks forward to becoming a vital role on the course to efficient renewable energy.
Jaida Leeper
Office Manager
Jaida has been with Unique Engineering Solutions since January 2021. She has spent 5+ years managing different business franchises and working in the medical field before taking on the role of office manager for Unique Engineering Solutions. Jaida not only manages the Human Resources side of this engineering firm, but she also helps and handles permitting, financing & billing, and composing contracts. She enjoys the fast-paced environment of the engineering world and is always absorbing new information about the engineering field. If Jaida is not sitting at her desk ready to answer new challenges, she is tending to her well-engineered garden with her many cats and canine companion.
Jared Thibault
Engineer Intern
Jared is a University of Central Florida alumni holding B.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He currently is practicing structural engineering alongside Andrew and Doug; applying his knowledge to whatever comes across his desk. Jared enjoys how using mathematics creates physical, practical, and (sometimes) unique solutions. He is only four degrees from Kevin Bacon.
